Glass Pumpkin Patch Info

Hi everyone, one more quick note here.
The 15th Annual Magical Glass Pumpkin Patch will be taking place on Sept. 22-24 on the front lawn of the high school. This is a great event to peruse, even if you don't buy anything.
However, a portion of all proceeds to come back to the art department to help us do things like repair kilns, buy oil paints, and purchase tools and supplies to keep the classes as robust as they are.

Souper Bowl (lg editions) 2016

Years ago I went to a great fundraiser at SHS that included homemade soup and handmade bowls. It was awesome and delicious and a lot of fun. For the first time since I've been at LG the same thing is now happening here.
It's a fundraiser so of course there is money involved, but for what you get (see below) it is pretty cheap.
AND as a bonus you can conveniently go to the school's musical right after. Wow, dinner and a show!
Come out and support and eat and have fun. It should be a good time, and if for no other reason there is Mrs. A's Famous Salsa Buena - which is amazing!

Back To School Night v2015

Students, it's that time of year again.
Time to get your parental units out of the house and send them to spend some quality time with me.
When, this Thursday, 9/4 at 6:30
Where, well, school, naturally.

Parents, it's time to spend some quality time away from your kids. Sorry, not on a date, but at school!
Back to School Night is here so let's do this.

The main thing that will be different this year is that the advanced art students will be holding a raffle/fundraiser for the mural we will be painting on the outside of the Art 1 room some time this fall (this month?).

If you would like to win one custom painting (of one person/pet) by one of our truly stunning students then drop your name in the "hat" - trust me, you'll see it in the classroom.
We are asking for a $20 donation to be eligible (but you can donate more if you like). There will be slips of paper for you to fill out when you attend back to school night - and probably more information then as well.

The Pumpkin Patch is Coming

You know you look forward to it every year, and it is almost upon us once again.
The annual glass pumpkin sale is coming up in just a couple of weeks on the front lawn of the school. Yes, your purchase helps the art department directly; yes, your purchase helps a local artisan directly; yes, your purchase gets a gift of something unique for someone you know (note, this someone may actually be you).

If you are a student I know how you can get some community service hours (hint, the flier above is it).
