It's a short class period today so we need to be super duper efficient.
It is AOTM time, so let's do this.
You've heard me mention his name before, and he's one of our table group artists, so let's learn something about the inimitable Lucian Freud!

More Art to Look At
It's one of those random things that I'm not really sure where it came from, but that's part of the beauty of the interwebs. Maybe it was from Booooooooom, I'm not sure, but I've recently come across the artist David Slone.
He uses some color in some interesting ways so I thought I would pass it along to you. Search around his site and I think you'll find some color and paint use within his portraits that you find kind of cool. Well, maybe. Check it out.

Daily Sketchbook 2/3
I know you've been waiting for it, and since I intentionally didn't have one last month (meaning, I was busy dealing with wedding stuff and then took a couple of days off so I didn't have the time to mess with it), it is Artist of the Month time!
Seriously, calm down.
Come up to my desk with your sketchbook and PENCIL, and we'll get started.
This month it's the wonderful world of Francesco Clemente.
All the info you need to know (including links) can be found on Canvas if you are absent today.
