Daily Sketchbook 4/25

Here is the image for the right hand side of the double page spread you began last time.
Remember, PENCIL ONLY.
You will not "finish" this today - and are not expected to. You are expected to get the proportions down and to do a great job overall though.
Also, ONLY USE AN IPAD FOR REFERENCING THE PHOTO. So if you are reading this on your phone, walk over and get an ipad please. Prop it up on your desk for reference.

Daily Sketchbook 4/21

This is your image inspiration to draw IN PENCIL ONLY today.
Begin by designating the next blank double page spread with this guy on the left hand side page. Draw him as realistically as possible. Do not expect to completely finish.
We will be working on this image and double page spread for multiple days so DO NOT draw anything else on these two pages.
Remember, pencil only. Also, ONLY USE AN IPAD FOR REFERENCING THE PHOTO. So if you are reading this on your phone, walk over and get an ipad please. Prop it up on your desk for reference.

Art 4 Daily Drawing for 1/28

Ok, this will be fun.
I want you to open up to the last class period's list of brainstormed subjects and follow the below directions.

  • draw on top of the list(s) you made last class
  • draw in pencil only
  • draw an apple looking into a mirror
  • reflected in the mirror must be a pineapple
  • you must include some sort of context outside of those three objects
  • you must come at least close to filling at least one page with your initial line drawing
  • you must at least begin shading at least one of the above three mentioned objects
  • I should be able to see drawn images and text in the photo you upload to canvas today
  • you may NOT draw from photographs/images
  • set the timer on your phone for 15 min as soon as you finish reading this and don't stop drawing until the timer goes off - other than that you shouldn't be looking at your phone for images at all (or any other image source)

This isn't about perfection, it is about working. Not overthinking, just working. Go.

Art 4 daily drawing for 1/13/15

Dear Quatre's

Looking for that daily image. Here you go.
Draw the three guys on the right (the ones you see all of the faces).
Do not include any building or anything in the background.
Do include the items the gentlemen are leaning against.
Draw only in pencil but with no shading.
Draw lightly please.
Draw as big on the page as possible while including everything required.
Orient your sketchbook horizontally.
Since you will be looking at this on a phone or an ipad, set your timer for 15 minutes.
At the end of 15 minutes please close your book and get out your materials for the current project.
